Flood monitoring and warning system case study
Case study about flood instrumentation sensors, web-based monitoring platform and mobile App for the city of Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac in Canada. The town is located on the shores of Lac des Deux-Montagnes (150 km 2). Most of the town is protected by a dike. In 2019, a breach in the dike caused unprecedented flooding.
PR’Eautech teams (our Montreal-based distributor) accompanied the city to monitor the lake’s water level. Some radar sensors were installed at strategic locations to monitor lake levels (at the beach, at lake level and in the sewer network). The data recorded by the LNR06 radar sensors are sent hourly to the IJITRACK platform […]
Monitoring water tables and rivers
As part of a call for tender, we worked in partnership with PCM INGENIERIE. Study to improve knowledge of the hydraulic and hydro geological functioning of its territory.
Piezometer monitoring with wireless data logger LOG09V4-82-LTE + CNR09 level sensor. Monitoring of sources and rivers with 60GHz radar level sensor
Case study: sectorisation of waste water (search for parasitic water)
Autonomous instrumentation for wastewater network sectorization CONTEXT : As part of its public service delegation, this water company is committed to researching and reducing the contribution of parasitic water to the agglomeration, with the installation of measuring equipment. The wastewater network is divided into catchment areas, and the first analysed data are the flows passing […]
Flood warning systems : Ubiflood Project
Flood warning systems, flood forecasting, SCADA, ICT, ubiquitous computing, sensors : Ubiflood Project
UbiFLOOD project deals with implementation of ubiquitous computing in flood warning and forecasting systems in different Asian background and the aim of the UbiFLOOD project is to implement ubiquitous solutions in the existing flood warning and forecasting systems. As an outcome, the framework will be developed with the main purpose to alert the population regarding flood alert. Since ubiquitous computing in flood warning systems is not widely applied in Asia, the new proposed solution within the framework should result in better operational organization and management of warning systems. …
